Sun Catcher Jar Lids with Barbara Derrick
Supplies:
Coloring Sheet transferred to regular white copy paper Hint: I am including a sample with spring flowers. You should be able to size them using your printer. If not or you want something else, google adult coloring sheets and put in the type you want. If you want a simpler design, google kids’ coloring sheets.
Crayons or Map Colors-- Hint: I used map colors but you can use just about anything even watercolor paint. I have been told markers work but you will want to test this first as it could smear.
Oil – any kind you have on hand
Cotton Ball
Mason Jar Ring Lid (outside part- band) –any size you want will work
Ribbon, twine, string, or yarn Hint: use what you have on hand. It needs to be large enough to go around the outside of the ring lid and have about 4 inches left for a hook.
Scissors
Glue – any kind will do

St. Pat's Crafts with Shirl Hawes
Project 1Supplies: paint brush, 2 cups of water, Crayola pan watercolor set, 6x9 inch watercolor paper, pencil, scissors, glue or double-sided tape, cardstock cut in half and folded to make a card
Project 2: one carrot, one celery, bell pepper, okra (if you can get any), watercolor paper cut 4x5 inches, knife, cutting board, 3 Styrofoam plates, liquid tempera or acrylic paint-green, red, orange and/ or yellow
Project 3: Black Card stock cut 4x5 inches, pencil, colored pencils, white gel pen, gold metallic gel pen. Or you can use white cardstock with a black micron 01 pen (ballpoint pen or Sharpie)
Updates: I had to use frozen okra, thawed. (whole or cut. Use a knife or something pointy to pull out the white seeds in each segment.)Look for a bell pepper with 3 segments (bumps or lobes looking at the bottom end, not the stem end.). (4 Segments will be fine.) Tube acrylic paint is fine. You will need a plastic spoon for spreading paint around. You can pre-cut several 4x5 pieces of watercolor paper so you can print more than one card at a time.
