Friday Night Extended Classes
Friday Night Extended Classes are for those projects that need more than an hour and fifteen minutes. To sign up for these classes, you must register with the teacher via email. The 4 classes this year are:
PINE NEEDLE BASKET COILING: This is a requested repeat of Mary Griffin's class from 2020. Participants will learn basic coiling techniques for making long-leaf pine needles into a mini basket or coaster. All materials supplied. Email Mary Griffin

Learn to Knit for Beginners: Learn how to Cast On, knit purl, and Cast off. All supplies will be provided. Contact Kerry James (aphi68@aol.com) to register
Chip Bag Change Purse: Sign up to make a water resistant change bag using your old chip bags. Use your creativity to create a small purse that you can use for your change or make-up. Register with Sue Thompson (mini_sue@earthlink.net)
Calligraphy: Learn the Italic upper and lower case letters by writing a variety of words and phrases. Participants will then make a greeting card. Sign up for this extended class by emailing Judy Reinhart (jareinhart@att.net).

Saturday Classes
Session 1 9:00-10:15 am
Card Buffet I: - Instructors: Cathy Burke and other facilitators All Saints A
All sessions of the Card Buffet are basically a “self serve” where facilitators will be there to help if you have questions or run into problems. Campers will choose two or three cards to create using sample cards and an array of card making techniques. After card bases are created, Session 1 will cover dry embossing with some stamping. Take one, two or all three of the Card Buffet sessions.
Felt Heart Hand Warmers: - Instructor: Janie Wigley All Saints B
Participants will cut out 4 heart shapes from felt for two hand warmers. Stitch together partially, add rice and lavender, finish sewing and securing with knot. Repeat for second hand warmer. These will keep you warm and cozy all winter long!
Origami Money GiR: - Instructor: Frances Ziegenhals All Saints 2
Writing a check or dropping cash in a card is such a ho-hum way to give money. Have fun and share ideas using money origami for a different twist to your green gift…more fun to give and receive!
Glass Etching: - Instructor: Virginia Olsovsky All Saints 3
Participants will etch a DKG logo on a plexiglass coaster using Armor Etch. Coasters will be provided.
Iris Folding Greeting Cards: - Instructor: Sallie Frederick All Saints 4
Iris folding is a paper craft that involves folding strips of colored paper in such a way as to form a design. Make greeting cards using the Iris folding technique to decorate the front of the card.
Painted Garden Art Poles: - Instructor: Virginia Bowers All Saints 5
Add a personal touch to your yard or garden. Put some art in the garden with a hand-painted art pole. Poles will be 24” tall (easy to pack in luggage).

Pocket Memories: - Instructor: Linda Roberson All Saints B
Make a pocket scrapbook of your grand kids, students, vaca2on memories, etc. You can teach your students to do this and besides pictures, they could use it as a study review. It could also be used to write down favorite family recipes to give to children and grandchildren.
Ancient Art of Marbling-Make a Scarf - Instructor: Kristen Marstaller
All Saints 2 Learn the ancient technique of marbling using dyes on paper and fabric. Participants will come away with some marbled paper and a finished scarf.
Home Sign with Interchangeable Parts: - Instructor: Terri Egerton All Saints 3
Make a finished project for your home by creating a HOME sign. It will have four interchangeable seasonal parts, each as unique as you are!
Mug Rugs: - Instructor: Joyce WaNs All Saints 4 I will have cardboard looms for everyone. We will warp our looms and learn the weaving process making a plain weave. Take the looms home so you can make more if desired.
Re-purposed Book Journals: - Instructor: Lisa Yates All Saints 5
Participants will learn how to create a beautiful journal from repurposed hardcover books. You will assemble and design your journal using beautiful materials and embellishments. All materials will be provided. These make beautiful gifts.

1:10 – 2:30 PM Workshop Session 3

Using wires and heads, we will learn to twist them into figures. Bead people can be used for Christmas ornaments, zipper pulls, key rings, embellishments for gifts, etc.
Zentangle Buferflies: - Instructor: Shirl Hawes All Saints 2
Participants will make a Zentangle-inspired project using easy Zentangle patterns featuring butterflies. We will practice new patterns coloring techniques for colored pencils. All supplies are included.
Stained Glass Mosaic: - Instructor: Linda Tindall All Saints 3
A 5” x 5” picture frame will be used to make a glass on glass mosaic. The mosaic can be a quilt block pattern or a design of one’s choice. Glass pieces will be glued on the glass of a picture frame using a glass glue.
Easy Knit Swirly Scarves: - Instructor: Carolyn Mashburn All Saints 4
Perfect for beginners...Fun to make and impressive to see, a perfect accessory for your Texas wardrobe because it’s light and colorful, not heavy and warm. All materials supplied, but you might want to bring your own needles (any size). Your scarf will be completed in time to show on Sunday.
Dance with the Dennisons: - Instructor: Darlene Dennison Albin All Saints 5
Those wishing to learn some dance routines that will be used on Saturday night should join this class. The Dennison Sisters will be leading the lessons and the Saturday night performance. This session is our practice 2me. Get your groove on, and dance!
2:45 - 4:00 PM Workshop Session 4
Practice Melodrama at STAR: - Instructor: Cathy Criner All Saints A
Penelope and the Pickle! Practice and present our Melodrama. For the performance, we will use the stage area in AS A & B. If you put on your registration form that you wished to par2cipate in Drama you will be pre-signed up for the Drama Class. You should be hearing directly from Cathy Criner about the Play that has been chosen and some props or costumes needed.
Vintage Hand-stamped Book Stacks: - Instructor: Billinelle Currie All Saints B
Celebrate your love of books by making your own hand-stamped decorative books stacks. Personalize your stack with your favorite saying: Bible verse, family names, anniversary dates, etc.
Antique Handkerchief Angels: - Instructor: Marilyn Gregory All Saints 2
Using a provided vintage handkerchief, wrap the middle around a styrofoam ball and secure. Two sides make the wings. Make a halo and insert into styrofoam ball. All materials provided by instructor.
Locker Hook: - Instructor: Shalan Inmon All Saints 3
Locker Hooking is a thrifty old school craft well worth reviving. You can make useable rugs and hot pads or go for fancy decorative table runners and wall hangings made from leK over fabric and yarn.
Quilling: - Instructor: Pamela Bond All Saints 4
Quilling is an art form that involves the use of thin strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs.
Pine Cone Art: - Instructor: Carolyn Underwood All Saints 5
Use pine cones to make flowers for a wreath or framed art piece.
